Technical FAQ

Everything to sell your used vehicle

Price, paperwork, registration, vehicle with a balance, accidented or off the road — answers to the technical questions about buying your used vehicle in Quebec.

How is the buyout price for my used vehicle determined?

We compare several market prices (Canadian Black Book, sales data, condition, mileage, local demand) to offer you the best purchase price. The estimate is free and no-obligation.

What paperwork do I need to sell my used vehicle?

The certificate of ownership (required) and registration. We handle the transfer paperwork with the SAAQ. If the vehicle has financing, we settle the balance with your lender.

Can I sell a vehicle with an outstanding loan?

Yes. We buy financed vehicles and pay off the balance directly with the financial institution, then give you the difference by personal cheque.

Do you buy an accidented or off-the-road vehicle?

Yes. We buy accidented, salvaged or off-the-road vehicles, even without an inspection. The purchase price accounts for the repairs needed.

Do I need to inspect my vehicle before selling?

No. Inspection is unnecessary: we buy the vehicle as-is, in any condition, including to repair.

What about my registration and plates?

You can keep or transfer your plates: we guide you through the SAAQ step at the time of ownership transfer.
