Law 25 — Personal information protection

The Act modernizing legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information ("Law 25") strengthens, in Quebec, the framework applicable to private businesses. Here is how Vendre Auto Québec complies with it.

1. Information collected and purpose

We collect personal information (name, phone, email, region, vehicle details) solely to contact you, estimate an offer and complete a transaction. No fully automated decision or profiling is made from this information.

2. Free and informed consent

Consent is collected clearly, freely and in an informed way, for determined and legitimate purposes. It can be withdrawn at any time, at no cost, by writing to info@vendreautoquebec.ca.

3. Minimization and anonymization

We limit collection to what is strictly necessary. At the end of the prescribed retention periods, the information is destroyed or anonymized so it can no longer be re-identified.

4. Transfer outside Quebec

We do not transfer your personal information outside Quebec unless it is necessary for the transaction; in that case, we ensure it benefits from an equivalent level of protection.

5. Confidentiality of incidents

In the event of a confidentiality incident involving a risk of serious harm, we assess the risk and then, if applicable, notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the individuals concerned.

6. Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion, portability and withdrawal of consent. The request must be made in writing and we reply within the timeframes set by law.

7. Personal information protection officer

In accordance with Law 25, Vendre Auto Québec has appointed a personal information protection officer. For any question or request: info@vendreautoquebec.ca · 1 877-338-8113.
